Ouch! That Hurt!

so you have to click on this picture and make it big to see what I am going to talk about, but poor little Steven fell and bit his lip yesterday. It just made me so sick! two weeks ago he got stitches on his head & a black eye and now this. I can't even look at his lip without getting sick to my stomach. I'm so sorry Steven!!!

So it is official, Hunter started kindergarten. He couldn't be happier. He is in the same class as his cousin (in the picture) and his friend from next door. He loves riding the bus and loves that he doesn't have any homework! I think kindergarten is easier for him than preschool! :-) Every day he comes home happy and tells me that he had lots of fun.

A hiking adventure

Our niece Sara was visiting us from BYU and I was sick all week, so Bruce took her and the kids hiking on Saturday while I stayed home and rested. It was nice to have the house to myself, but I would have rather gone hiking & not been sick. But I'm glad that they all had fun. Who doesn't love to play in the water?

17 Years

Bruce and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary! It is amazing that we have been blessed with that many years together. I have known Bruce for 21 years...wow. I feel so lucky to have him in my life. We celebrated by going to Salt Lake (without the kids) and seeing our favorite singer, Chris Isaak in concert. It was a great concert and and great weekend.

Summer Vacation!!!

OK, so we are back from a very long two & a half week summer trip. We drove to northern California and then all the way to southern California. We started off visiting with Bruce's parents for a week then we drove to Los Gatos, Monterrey, & San Diego. We did so many fun things and the kids had such a great time. I've only posted a handful of pictures and we didn't take pictures of everything we did. Some of the really fun things were canoeing on the pond, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, The San Jose Children's museum, Oak Medow Park, Tide pools, Sea World, swimming at Whisky Town Lake, hiking at Bernnie Falls, visiting with family and friends and swimming at the ocean & hotel pool. What a fun summer and how wonderful it is to be back!

Family Shots

Tide Pools

We went to a couple of different tide pools while on vacation. The kids loved the crabs.

High School Friends

It's always so fun to get together with some of my friends from high school.

Children's Museum

This was the best place ever. I didn't have to once tell the kids that they couldn't touch something. Steven absolutely loved it! He would look at me and wait for me to say no but I didn't have to! It was a great day.

Turtle Bay

The kids had so much fun at Turtle Bay. We got to walk over the Sacramento River, feed birds, see a T-Rex built out of Legos, look at butterflies, fish, do science experiments, etc. It's a very fun place.

Summer Fun

The kids had a blast in the canoe at their grandparents house.
